Meet Brain Hahn + Eva Mancarella!
Brian is the new General Manager of Fitness and Wellness at the JCC.
Brian joined the J in March 2020 and brings experience and a passion to help others
attain their fitness goals.

Brian's fitness philosophy emphasizes strength and cardio training methods
that can be transferred from the gym to daily life by building up functional fitness. 

As a former collegiate All American in lacrosse, Brian still enjoys getting up and down the field,
but has added HIIT training and running 5ks to his personal fitness routine as well.
Eva is the Group Exercise Supervisor at the JCC. Eva joined the JCC last year
and brings a love of the fitness world (especially Zumba) with her.

Eva's fitness philosophy is to empower individuals through energetic + enjoyable
group fitness to become the most confident version of themselves.


  • Individual training sessions are available: 6:30am, 7:30am, 8:30am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
    July 20–August 31.
    • Training sessions can be either one-on-one or two-on-one training
      (if two, both people must reside in same household)  
    • Active training sessions are 45 minutes long and will be customized – each training package
      includes a 15-minute phone consultation before the training session to review
      your fitness and wellness goals
    • $250 for (5) one-on-one sessions 
    • $375 for (5) two-on-one sessions

  • Small group training sessions are available: 6:30am and 9am Tuesday, Thursday and
    8am and 9:30am Saturday, August 1–31.
    • Group training is 45 minutes long and is HIIT and task-based and will include 10 minutes of a dynamic warm-up, 30 minutes of HIIT activity and 5 minutes for stretching and cool down
    • Group size capped at 6 people for safe social distancing 
    • $75 for 5 small group training sessions

Reservations, Payment + Details 

  • Reservations can be made only within 24 hours of the day and timeslot of the workout session
  • You do not have to be a member of the JCC Rochester to book a training session

  • Please include your desired workout dates, preferred time slots and phone number
  • All reservations handled on a first email, first reservation basis 
  • Payment must be made in full at the first session
  • If you are a member of the JCC Rochester and you have a c/c on file,
    you may pay with a credit card
  • Checks will also be accepted
  • The workout will be held in the JCC Outdoor HIIT area
  • Since these training sessions are 45 minutes long, previously purchased sessions
    cannot be used – we will have hour-long sessions once we can open our facility
  • The minimum age for a training session is 9 years old
  • You must be in good health – anyone that is visibly ill will be asked to leave
    and will forfeit the training fee for the session
  • The JCC will administer a short health assessment prior to each session so please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the session start
  • We will send a confirmation email to you when you are registered for a class with more details so please review ahead of time
  • Please bring a mask
  • Please bring your own filled water bottle and towel and floor mat
  • No bathroom facilities are available 
  • Please park in the main lot and head towards the back of the building,
    the tennis courts will be on your left. Brian will meet you outside.


  • Zumba classes are available: 5:45pm on Monday, Wednesday and 9:45am Friday. August 3 –August 31.
  • Held outside on a flat, soft and shock-absorbing surface – not a parking lot 
  • Class length is 45 minutes
  • Class size is limited to 10 people for safe social distancing 
  • Your JCC membership needs to be active and must include Fitness Classes.
