The program will also honor the second printing of Rochester-area Survivor Henry Silberstern's memoir, and include a presentation by his grandson, Jonathan Silver, and a related photography exhibit by Louis Ryen.

The H.I.I.C.A.P. (Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program) is available at the JCC, co-sponsored by New York State, Monroe County Offices for the Aging, and the Monroe County Medical Society. Trained volunteer counselors offer accurate and objective information, counseling, assistance and advocacy relating to Medicare, private health insurance, and related health coverage plans for Medicare beneficiaries, their representatives, or persons soon to be eligible for Medicare. This service is free and confidential.

We can help with:

Congregatings: A Community Brown-Bag Lunch and Learn Series for Adults

The JCC is pleased to be participating in a newly expanded community brown-bag lunch and learn series for adults. This group, an outgrowth of the “TBKers” from Temple B’rith Kodesh, meets monthly for engaging conversations and presentations on a great variety of topics. All are welcome.

Most meetings take place in the Adult Lounge at Temple B’rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester NY 14618. Please see full calendar below.

The group requests that, in the spirit of the law of kashrut, brown-bag lunches exclude pork and shellfish products as well as food items that mix meat and dairy ingredients.
