Knitting in the Round

Knitting in the round is no more difficult than straight needles knitting.
Great for hats, cowls, ponchos, socks, and larger projects. By knitting in the round you'll discover fewer seams to sew at the end. With larger projects, knitting back and forth on a circular needle allows the weight of the knitting to rest in your lap not on your wrists. We'll focus on cast-on and join on circular needles so that your project lays flat and no stitches are twisted.
Materials: Bring one skein of worsted weight yarn & circular knitting needles size 8 or 9.
Price: $30/Session + Materials Member: $25/Session + Materials

In carpentry, corners are usually joined at 45-degree angles. Creative knitters found a way to emulate that mitered look in knitting with a deceptively simple pattern. Miters make stunning jackets, shawls, scarves, and baby blankets, and are a great way to use up bits and pieces of leftover yarn.
