Providing opportunities for people to engage with each other in a Jewish environment is what the JCC's adult programs are all about. Whether your community is based on shared age, interests, or background, you'll find it here at the JCC.
Older Adult Programs
The JCC offers hundreds of classes, concerts, excursions and other recreational opportunities for active seniors.
Program for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

Arts & Culture
The JCC is recognized as a dynamic center of cultural and intellectual life in Rochester. Ticket sales cover approximately 50% of our production costs. Signature cultural arts programs at the JCC include Lane Dworkin Jewish Book Festival, Ames Amzalak Rochester Jewish Film Festival, CenterStage. Your support not only helps keep tickets prices accessible, but allows us to bring diverse and provocative talent to the stage, theatre and podium. Learn more about JCC Cultural Arts offerings.

JCC CenterStage Theatre features the finest local actors, director and designers presenting a year-round season of professional theatre.
Jewish Book Festival
The Lane Dworkin Jewish Book Festival exists to create a showcase for Jewish authors and/or books of Jewish content. In so doing, the Festival promotes awareness, appreciation and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people; strengthens community consciousness of Jewish identity, history and culture; and provides a community forum to stimulate dynamic and provocative dialogue.
Ticket sales alone do not cover the cost of this wonderful community program.
Jewish Film Festival
The JCC of Greater Rochester established the Rochester Jewish Film Festival in 2001 to present the best contemporary Jewish themed films from around the world to the Rochester community. RJFF exists to promote awareness and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people; to strengthen community consciousness of Jewish identity, history and culture; to provide a forum for community gatherings that allows valuable dialogue; and to create an international showcase for filmmakers whose work explores Jewish themes.
Theatre Young Kids Enjoy (TYKEs)
Let TYKEs (Theatre Young Kids Enjoy) entertain and inspire your whole family with beloved fairy tales, bedtime stories and children's books...all brought to life on stage. In residence at the JCC since 2008, TYKEs became an official JCC arts and family program in 2014.
Jewish Life & Learning
Over 10,000 adults participate in Jewish or Israel-related educational programs, classes, lectures and events at the JCC each year. Your support promotes a rich array of Jewish thought, culture, art and tradition! Learn more about Jewish Life & Learning at the JCC.
Youth & Family
The JCC is where friendships start that will last a lifetime. Children participate in a wide variety of activities and educational opportunities that help them to explore and learn in fun environments.
Your financial support ensures that no child who wishes to experience a Jewish camp is turned away. The JCC's two outstanding camps, Camp Seneca Lake and Camp Sisol ensure that children in our community receive quality summer experiences. Learn more about JCC Camping.
The JCC provides more than $50,000 a year in scholarship assistance for children in our community to attend JCC camping programs, including Camp Seneca Lake, Camp Sisol, and KidStage @ Sisol. Please help make camp possible.
Jewish & Interfaith Family Programs
The JCC has a number of programs serving the needs of Jewish and interfaith families, including parenting workshops, Mother's Circle, Grandmother's Circle (both in partnership with Jewish Family Service and Jewish holiday programming. In addition to grants and partnerships, your support ensures that these programs continue to be available to enrich the lives of the families in our communities.
The Gesher Afterschool Program
Scholarships for Membership so that participants may enroll in after school programming ensures that children are in a safe and healthy environment while their parents work. Your support provides countless enrichment opportunities for public school children at the JCC. Learn more about Gesher.
Wolk Children's Center
We are proud to provide families with Membership Scholarships so they may participate in the preschool activities. More than 200 families entrust their children to the Wolk Children's Center to receive a quality pre-school education. Learn more about the Wolk Children's Center.
