Providing opportunities for people to engage with each other in a Jewish environment is what the JCC's adult programs are all about. Whether your community is based on shared age, interests, or background, you'll find it here at the JCC.
Older Adult Programs
The JCC offers hundreds of classes, concerts, excursions and other recreational opportunities for active seniors.
Arts & Culture
The JCC is recognized as a dynamic center of cultural and intellectual life in Rochester. Ticket sales cover approximately 50% of our production costs. Signature cultural arts programs at the JCC include Lane Dworkin Jewish Book Festival, Ames Amzalak Rochester Jewish Film Festival, CenterStage and TYKEs. Your support not only helps keep tickets prices accessible, but allows us to bring diverse and provocative talent to the stage, theatre and podium. Learn more about JCC Cultural Arts offerings.
Sponsorship and naming opportunities are available for any of these programs.
JCC CenterStage Theatre features the finest local actors, director and designers presenting a year-round season of professional theatre.
Jewish Book Festival
The Lane Dworkin Jewish Book Festival exists to create a showcase for Jewish authors and/or books of Jewish content. In so doing, the Festival promotes awareness, appreciation and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people; strengthens community consciousness of Jewish identity, history and culture; and provides a community forum to stimulate dynamic and provocative dialogue.
Ticket sales alone do not cover the cost of this wonderful community program.
Jewish Film Festival
The JCC established the Rochester Jewish Film Festival in 2001 to present the best contemporary Jewish themed films from around the world to the Rochester community. RJFF exists to promote awareness and pride in the diversity of the Jewish people; to strengthen community consciousness of Jewish identity, history and culture; to provide a forum for community gatherings that allows valuable dialogue; and to create an international showcase for filmmakers whose work explores Jewish themes.
