
SilverSneakers® Program
How to Join...If you are 65 or older and have MVP, Humana New York, Essence or Secure Horizons health insurance, you are eligible for a Free Membership to the JCC. With the assistance of these insurances, SilverSneakers® members can participate in the SilverSneakers® classes, along with other free classes that the JCC offers to our Members. SilverSneakers® Members must scan their JCC Key Tag Card each time they visit the JCC.

Complete a SilverSneakers® application, which are available at the main desk and attend a SilverSneakers® orientation, which are given every Wednesday and Friday at 11am. Muscular Strength & Range in Motion
Mondays: 11am
Fridays: 11am
This class is designed to those over 65 who are new to or returning to exercise. Have fun and move the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and activity for daily living. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistence; a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. (Held in AUD C)
SilverSneakersII® (MSROM II)
Cardio & Muscular Endurance
Tuesdays: 11am
Thursdays: 11am
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises. (Held in AUD C)

LOTS of fun in shallow water to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. A SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.
