TechAge Learning Center
Next session of classes starts August 30
The TechAge Learning Center is open to all adults 45 plus, Monday through Friday. Computer classes for adults, taught by adults. Learn to use a computer in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Classes are small with a maximum of 10 students.

"Ask the Pros"
On Wednesdays only from September through June, we offer "Ask the Pros" sessions where TechAge students can receive expert help with any computer issue.
You do not need to be a JCC member to participate in TechAge. If you have any questions regarding your placement in a TechAge course, or you have any other questions, please call TechAge at the JCC at (585) 461-2000 ext. 463. TechAge Classes at the JCC
All classes consist of eight two-hour lessons unless otherwise noted.
BASIC CLASSESIntroduction to Computers using Windows XP or Windows Vista/Windows 7INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
TechAge's most popular class for beginners is newly revised for Windows Vista. Learn the basics of using the computer, "surfing" the Internet, using e-mail, write letters and more.Internet and EmailADVANCED CLASSES
Go beyond the basics and take advantage of all the Internet offers. Communicate with friends and family around the world with e-mail and access the wealth of useful information available on the World Wide Web.
Find the information you want fast with Google. Get news, maps, directions, and best prices. If it's our there, you can find it. Don't search, Google! Prerequisite: Basic computer and Internet skills. This is a 4-lesson course
Using Microsoft Word 2007
Word makes creating great looking documents easy and fun at home or in the office. Use Word to write letters, fliers, greeting cards, newsletters and much, much more. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills including some experience with word processing.
Introduction to Digital Photography

Image Editing with Photoshop Elements 6
Organize and improve your photos with this popular image editing software. Photoshop Elements can improve and fix problems with your photos easily.
Projects and Problem Solving with Photoshop Elements
Use your own photos to create projects, restore damaged photos, and edit problem photos. The two projects are a computer scrapbook page and a photo fold-over card. Photo restoration will include color correction and tear repair. The last lesson will address common photo problems. Prerequisite: Photoshop Elements experience. You will need to bring your photos to class on a flash drive. The instructor will contact you before class starts with more information. This is s 4-lesson course. FEE: $50
