KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.The JCC is proud to introduce a series of speakers from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Founded at RIT, this organization offers classes on a variety of compelling topics for adults who wish to enrich their thoughts and expand their minds.
During this well-rounded educational sequence, you will learn about influential figures as well as relevant historic and modern-day issues regarding religion, politics, science and technology.

Research shows that "brain exercise" keeps you young and improves brain function. Carole Haas will explore a variety of "exercises" including analogies, cryptograms, crossword puzzles and acrostics, emphasizing the benefits of each.

JCC Heart Fitness ProgramTake care of your heart at any age!
The JCC Heart Fitness Program is for people who have experienced or are at high risk for a cardiac event or stroke. This program provides you with a personal, one-on-one approach to planning your exercise regime. You'll receive individual attention while exercising in a controlled, friendly atmosphere. Your blood pressure will be monitored before and after exercise, and your heart rate will be monitored before, during and after exercise.
If you are a survivor of a cardiac event or stroke, this program picks up where your therapy and/or rehab program left off. We'll help you continue on the road to lifelong strength, mobility and flexibility.
Flexible Hours of Operation:
Sunday, 8:30 - 9:15am
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7am - Noon
Members $18/month, Non-Members $25/month
The program is held in the JCC Heart Fitness Exercise Room.

Israeli Folk DanceOpen to Enthusiastic Dancers of All Ages
Beginners are always welcome!
Join us every Sunday from 7-10 pm in the Dance Studio for our weekly session with Max Steiner, featuring contemporary Israeli dances, classics and old favorites. The first hour is geared toward teaching basic steps and easy dances. Later in the evening we focus on requests, open dancing and learning more advanced dances.

Connections Women's Support GroupFor Women in Transition
Presented by Jewish Family Service of Rochester, Inc. in conjunction with the JCC.
Are you a woman facing a fork in the road of your life's journey? Do you want to meet other women travelers on this journey? When lifecycle events jolt us out of our routines, we find the freedom to redefine ourselves. With that freedom, however, can come some challenges. Share the hills and valleys of this journey, examine relationships with ourselves and others, and support and learn from each other. You will determine the direction this group takes as you talk and form new friendships, exchange ideas, listen to speakers, plan activities and trips, etc. Your presence will define the group.
